Assistant Store Manager – Coffee Shop
Part-Time | < 28 hours per week

Waterslake Capital is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Store Manager to assist in leading our high-energy, service-focused barista team. This role is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of staffing, sales, and operations to create an exceptional coffee experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Assist in recruiting, training, and developing a dynamic team of 25-40 baristas, to deliver top-tier customer service.

  • Customer Experience: Ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding experience by maintaining high service standards, product quality, and a welcoming store atmosphere.

  • Operations & Compliance: Uphold food safety protocols, cleanliness, visual merchandising, and equipment maintenance.

  • Performance Management: Assist the Store Manager in providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.

  • Sales & Profitability: Drive sales and spearhead upselling campaigns to meet and exceed revenue goals.

  • Scheduling & Staffing: Assist in the creation and management of staff schedules.

  • Financial Accountability: Oversee cash handling, reporting, and adherence to company policies and financial procedures.

Job requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, or retail environment.

  • Food service experience required; coffee shop experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work as a team with the Store Manager.

  • Ability to motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift items over 30+ pounds.
